back at last...
finally, after 2 weeks of nonstop requirements, i am finally back at CDO. i never expected to ever come back here and still sane. i thought i was going crazy back there. those 2 weeks would have been qualified to be the longest weeks of my life. thank God to new found friends. i wouldn;t have made it if it haven't been for them. the sleepless nights of working overtime for the requirements to be submitted the next day would have been difficult if it weren't for the chikkas and the "hub-hub' sessions, i would have found the task boring. the case presentation, in which the de la rosa has worked hard on would have been a disaster if it weren't for our group efforts and dedication to make it the best case presentation we can ever achieve. these things turned out to be great because of friends there by your side supporting each other. i would never ever forget this experience. the memories we have shared, the times of sadness, the times of happiness..these things are the things that made my psychiatric affiliation a memorable one. not only because of my batchmates at de la rosa but also the patients that we took care. it maybe just two weeks for others but i know we made a difference to the lives of our patients. we care for them in ways that somehow they are family to us. i would never ever forget them. i love the experience to the point of tears because i miss them so much. the clinical instructors, the residents at de la rosa, my batchmates and most importantly the experiences we have encountered there at davao. this is an experience that i will never ever forget.

Davao...here I come
finally, after 1 month of waiting...me and my batchmates (third) are finally going to Davao. Anyways, 3rd year nursing students are sent to Davao for our psychiatric affiliation. we are going to take care of our patients for two months. I'm excited butat the same time nervous. This would be the first time for me to take care with this kind of patient and I still am not that confident with what our clinical instructors have taught us. hopefully it is enough for me to take on with the task. though our lives there would be busy with our duty and requirements, i'm sure we still can find time bond with my batchmates or as we can say, dormmates. this would be an experience to look forward. and hopefully, i will learn to do laundry with my fingers cross.
till here...ü i'll write everything that would happen there at Davao. see you in two weeks...ü

wat goes on at crystal water...stays at crystal water
event: block outing (block G)
where: Crystal water
when: October 3, 2006
where: Crystal water
when: October 3, 2006
on Oct3 year 2006 was the date our block decided to have an outing in which most of us where excited about. especially when our classes was over and that we really really needed a break. after long meetings between our block, everything was set. food. fare. transpo. all that was needed was ourselves. 7:30am was the assembly time at dunkin donut, dv soria. we were assembled at 9:30amü though the weather was cloudy, nothing could deter us from this long awaited outing. even when almost half of our block wasn't able to come, still the rest of us was there. so why would we cancel. after all, it's their loss to those who didn't join. as we loaded to the jeepney, we were the typical college Filipino students...noisy. we were talking with voices that could reach other jeepneys. we were laughing so loudly, that the music played at the jeepney with (take note) full volumes was nothing compared to it. we were awaiting our arrival at crystal water.
after 1hour of stopping to buy food and picking up the rest of us on the way. we finally reached our destination. CRYSTAL WATER. we were anticipating that the place is packed with other fellows doing the same thing were doing...unwinding. but it turned out that were the only people there. meaing: we have the pools to ourselves and the pool looked so inviting. just our luck!! as we were settling our things at the cottage. some of us were already changing clothes for swimming and the rest was getting ready to cook the rest of our food. so some, including me, were already swimming at the pool. the pool was so cold but still we were enjoying swimming. we took a break, and then we started to take shots of tequilla in which some us drank for the first time. there was no exception to all of us. then with our stereo on, all of us were dancing our hearts out. just having fun and celebrating that our first semester is finally over (well not totally). but still, there was no clinical instructor to give us extensions. we were like birds finally out of the cage. free at last from school pressures.
as the day progressed and after we ate our lunch, all of us were finally swimming at the pool. except for those who wasn't going to swim, they were getting themselves drunk. during daylight, take note. but as for the rest, we were playing games at the pool. we felt like kids again. and the tequilla shots was still not over. not for my blockmate atleast. he drank 1/2 of the bottle and it was his first time to drink it. thank God he somehow sobered up when he was taking laps at the pool. after some time, we got tired of the water so we decided to change and have a TRUTH or DARE game. but we modified it a little bit...it was DRINK A GLASS OF BEER or DARE. all of us was to play the game. most of us chose dare especially the girls coz we don't drink. we were all given a dare in which it's too difficult to handle. as the game progressed, well the mechanics of the game also changed...for the worst. we were all having same dares, no more drinking a glass of beer. the dare, its too daring for most of us but what can we do. we need to do it or else. the dare? well, it's..............ü i'm not allowed to say anything. we made a promise that it would be our little secret. heheü sorry! i am sworn to secrecy. let's just say that it's too liberal for us Filipino people.ü
finally, it's time for us to leave crystal water. we weren't ready to leave yet especially with a dare that is too exciting and not all were able to do it. but we had no choice, the jeepney was already waiting for us. during our way home, we were a silent group. the rest of us was sleeping. must be tired from all that swimming. and some, well, maybe they were still digesting all the fun we had at crystal water including me. we arrived at our home filled with new memories which is treasured in our hearts. though we weren't complete, still it was an outing to be remembered. especially with the craziness we had been...who would forget that. the outing started with the prospect of rain and might be cancelled. but in the end, all goes well. it even turned out to be the best outing ever. can't wait for the next block outing.üüüüü

let me introduce myself first...
hi! i had been having this blog for about a year now and i haven't been using it. instead i put anime pictures just for the fun of it. and now, i have no idea why i did it. but, finally, i got an urge to change my blog and finally write something that might make sense to me. maybe it took a long time for me to do this because i never am a good writer or never good in expressing my thoughts. this would be my first posting at my blog so it would be proper to introduce myself first.i'm alyssa!ü i'm a third year student taking the course of nursing. tough course right? i really wasn't thinking straight when i took this course. i must've been crazy at that moment. anyways, i have two siblings, both of them male. that's make me the center of my dad and mom's affection. cool huh?ü well, it's not that great. true, i always get what i want but they are way to protective of me. especially in terms of boys. but, i don't blame them, they are after all my parents. it's natural for them to worry. going back to the topic, i'm 19 years old, has chinita black eyes, medium in height and weight, blah blah blah...ü though i'm at this age already, i haven't had a boyfriend EVER!! it seems i am the only person at this age who haven't had a boyfriend...ü but, looking at the bright side, i can focus with my studies (if i do study)..üi love to watch MOVIES. it has been a habit for me since highschool but it seems i haven't seen much becuase i'm busy with school. but, everytime i have time, i get a point to watch a movie. i also love to listen to music. all kinds of genre is fine with me as long as it's pleasant to the ears. i love reading books also and going out with friends. going out and go dancing with friends or just hanging at a friends house and do videoke all night. either way, i love it. i'm a tv addict too. just watching television the whole night would be fine with me as long as i am in charge with the remote. i also love surfing the net. i also love to sleep and eat. who wouldn't?well, this ends with introducing myself....üü
